California Carbon Action Registry Move Readies Forest to Sell Carbon Offsets.
This week, The Conservation Fund’s Garcia River Forest, a property on California’s North Coast, became the largest forest recognized by the California Climate Action Registry as a verified source of carbon credits. Garcia River Forest now has the capacity to store more than 77,000 tons of carbon emissions annually, which is equivalent to taking more than 14,000 cars off the road. Read More>
