Go Zero Goes to Sundance
Delta offers Sundance guests a chance to offset their carbon emissions.
Delta is taking its commitment to effect positive environmental change to the Sundance Film Festival, starting January 17. Delta's SKY360* - Park City sky lodge experience will offer Sundance guests the opportunity to calculate the carbon dioxide emissions associated with their air or ground travel to the festival and then offset those emissions by making a donation to The Conservation Fund's Go Zero program. Delaware and Pennsylvania Forests Conserved
Former Glatfelter Pulp Wood Company properties now in public stewardship.
Loblolly pineIn a landmark conservation effort for Delaware, The Conservation Fund joined with a broad public and private team to protect 1,100 acres of prime forest habitat as part of a multi-phase project that has protected more than 5,000 acres. The Sussex County property includes some of the state’s last intact forest areas, including some of the largest concentrations of loblolly pine in Delaware. The newly protected land is also vital to both the Chesapeake and Delaware Bay watersheds. Read More>
Five Pennsylvania counties also benefit.
Susquehanna river Nestled within Pennsylvania’s ridge-and-valley landscape, nine former Glatfelter parcels totalling more than 3,500 acres of forestland are now public, thanks to a partnership involving The Conservation Fund. The Fund will transfer all but one property to the state's Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, as valuable extensions of existing state forests. York County takes ownership of the remaining parcel, roughly 150 acres along the lower Susquehanna River, to expand a popular park. Read More>
