Building Leaders from the Ground Up

Conservation works best when corporations and communities find common ground, but it’s a collaboration that requires leadership and innovative thinking from all sides. In 1998, we established the Conservation Leadership Network to build these essential connections. CLN’s workshops, focus groups and partnerships with government and industry have reached more than 5,000 participants nationwide. In these unique learning environments—often held where participants live and work—CLN encourages people to test new ideas in public land use, green infrastructure, climate change and much more. The strength of the network lies in its diverse partners. With each new course and each new meeting, CLN builds an ever-growing base of informed and engaged leaders to forge lasting conservation solutions at the local and national levels.
